Unlike static LUTs, CINETON Filmic Contrast works procedurally in linear mode – exposure and contrast behave realistically, colors remain clean, highlights roll off smoothly, and mid-gray is positioned exactly where it should be according to the transfer function. • TF-conscious pivot: 18% grey is correctly determined for each transfer function – consistent contrast behavior.
