Middle Gray Reference Stripe DCTL – Precise exposure in every color space

This DCTL was specifically developed for colorists, camera operators and filmmakers who need a reliable visual reference for correct exposure within DaVinci Resolve.

With Middle Gray DCTL Version 1.2 you get a neutral gray reference bar (18% Gray) that is permanently displayed in the lower third of the image – precisely adapted to the selected color space.

• Automatic adjustment of the Middle Gray value depending on the selected transfer function:

  • Apple LOG → 0.488
  • Linear → 0.180
  • ACEScc/ACEScct → 0.431
  • Arri LogC3 → 0.391
  • Arri LogC4 → 0.278
  • DaVinci Wide Gamut (DWG) → 0.336

• A bar permanently displayed in the lower part of the image (enlarged for text or measurement purposes)

• Dropdown selection of various log and linear color spaces for quick adjustment

• Dropdown selection of width from 2/3 and Full Width

• Compatible with all color spaces in DaVinci Resolve – ideal for LUT development, on-set monitoring, or precise exposure matches.
